Hello and happy Friday! This is going to be the LAST post from our vacation this summer. I am so happy that we decided to make the trip out to Versailles for half the day. I read mixed reviews about going to Versailles if you only have a few days in Paris, but I thought it was totally worth it! I am a huge historical fiction reader and I have read quite a few books on Marie Antoinette so going to Versailles was high on my list of things to do. It was insanely packed, but we did buy our tickets online ahead of time, which helped somewhat with wait times. I would recommend going early in the morning on later in the afternoon.
Marie Antoinette's bedroom was so incredible!
The king's chambers
Not the best picture of the Hall of Mirrors but it was insanely crowded. The chandeliers were so beautiful!
After touring the castle we wanted to spend the rest of our time exploring the gardens. You could come back and explore the gardens for 2-3 days there was so much to see. We both said that if we ever make it back to Paris we would love to just do an entire day at Versailles and just hang out and explore all the different areas of the gardens.
We rented bikes as well to make walking through the gardens quicker and easier. We took a ride down to the Marie's chateau, which was so cute!
This is china that Maria Antoinette used! I am sucker for amazing china so seeing this in person was incredible.
I got another chance to wear this beautiful pink coat while we explored the grounds. It was a tiny bit windy that day, which was perfectly fine with me! I am obsessed with this striped skirt from J. Crew. It is so comfortable and can be styled a million different ways. It will look so cute with riding boots for this fall.
Any fun plans this weekend? I've got a baby shower to attend on Sunday and I am really excited because it is Lilly Pulitzer themed! I will try and get some pictures up of the shower and what I wore next week. I hope everyone has a great weekend!
Thanks for reading.
